A few weeks back, I had the privilege of being a guest on the Money Savage Podcast, hosted by George Grombacher. Like myself, George has been in the financial advice industry his entire career and is now the President of Money Alignment Academy. His experience really shows as he asks great questions and makes valid points during our discussion.
I must admit, I was a little nervous before going on the Money Savage show, as I’ve never been a guest on a podcast before. I listen to podcasts on a daily basis, but it’s definitely a different feeling when the microphone is pointed in your direction. However, I had a blast doing this, and I know this was a way for me to take a small step in the direction of my bigger goals.
On the podcast, we discussed the importance of keeping your fixed living expenses low by wisely purchasing your home and car within budget, automating your savings to minimize behavioral mistakes, and the importance of having an additional income stream for financial security. Be sure to listen to the end, where I share my “Difference Making Tip” which is a practice my fiancee and I have been using to make sure we are on the same page financially.
